The Board of the Canadian Association of Insurance Reciprocals (CAIR) is seeking to fill the following vacancy on its Board from among its members in good standing:

Director at Large and Director Training Committee Liaison

The successful nominee will be appointed by the Board to complete a retiring Board member’s term starting on June 15, 2023. If interested, please complete and submit the attached nomination form by 12nn ET on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Term: 15 June 2023 – 31 March 2025

Directors must be individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age with power under law to contract. Directors must be duly authorized representatives of member organization in good standing. The Board strives for cross-country representation.

Duties of Directors: The Board may administer the affairs of the Association in all things and make or cause to be made for the Association, on its behalf, any kind of contract which the Board may lawfully enter into and, save as hereinafter provided, generally, may exercise all such other powers and do all such other acts and things as necessary for the furtherance of the Association, including owning real and personal property on behalf of the Association.

Expenditures: The Board shall have power to authorize expenditures on behalf of the Association from time to time and may delegate by resolution to an officer or officers of the Association the ability to manage the expenditures on behalf of the Association.
