Virtual Director Training Series: Financial Statements Demystified
Join us on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14 at 9AM PT/12PM ET for the third installment in CAIR’s Virtual Director Training Webinar Series.
Understanding the financial position—and statement—of a reciprocal is a critically important obligation for every Director. Join us on Thursday October 14th at 9:00 am PDT/12:00 pm EDT to learn how to read a financial statement without fear or confusion. CAIR’s very own Sandra Taylor, CFO at the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange, and Louise Fung, CPA, CA, who currently provides financial advisory services to the Canadian Egg Industry Reciprocal Alliance, will take us through the process of demystifying financial statements and help Directors—new and experienced—understand what to look for and what questions to ask when reviewing these important documents.
Louise Fung, CPA, CA currently provides financial advisory services to the Canadian Egg Industry Reciprocal Alliance. This includes the preparation of financial statements, as well as monitoring procedures and benchmarking for governance and compliance. Louise recently retired from Aon where she had worked since 1989 and where her most recent position was Managing Director for captive and reciprocal client operations in Canada.
Sandra Taylor, CFO at the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange, has been with the organization since 1993. Sandra enjoys working in a small organization where there are opportunities to be involved in different aspects of the operation. Sandra is currently the Chair of CAIR and enjoys the collaboration within this unique part of the insurance sector. She is looking forward to the start of curling season, just around the corner!
